Wolveshire Castle - Main Courtyard
The main courtyard is relatively large and open, and the ground is cobbled to avoid an excess of mud and dust. When entering from the gatehouse, one can follow the wall along the right toward a small well-tower that houses the freshwater source for those living in the keep. To the left of the gatehouse, a long two-story building houses the stables, the barracks, and the infirmary in three distinct but connected sections. Hidden in the corner created by the main keep's stairs and the adjacent curtain wall, the cobbles give way to hard-packed dirt that serves as a training area for the castle's guards. The smithy stands directly to the right of the practice arena.

Between the barracks and the main keep, a gently sloping walkway connects the main grounds with the garden courtyard. To the left of the gatehouse's main entrance a wide stair leads into the keep.

Aug 05, 1329

Overseeing the last of her items being pack up and loaded onto the wagon that the summer queen started to have loaded for the northern princess the evening before, Niniane looks tired, worn out and downright rundown as she stands with a group of Taniford guards jokingly saying still, "Oh admit it, you will miss me."

Little in the way of packing was required by the northern knight, he had not been there long and spare armor wasn't all that difficult to dump into a trunk. Seeing it to one of the wagons before Alek steps over toward Niniane and the group of Taniford guards. A proper bow offered to the Princess before he speaks,"Of course they shall, though I imagine they fear to admit it, least where any can over hear."

Leaving it to the last minute apparently, Prince Samwell finally appears in the courtyard and watches proceedings from afar.

One of the guards rolls his eyes as another suppresses a snicker and Niniane gives him a big grin, "See I knew it, you are going to miss having me to watch." She may look tired but her sense of humor seems intact, her smile even stays on her lips as Samwell's appearance in noticed, "Good morning your highness." The tall princess says waving a hand to the man, despite his hanging back.

The pretty Knight turns to offer a respectful bow towards Samwell upon Niniane's greeting to the Prince. Though the pretty northern knight does not offer up anything, simply moving to his proper place as appointed Knight protector.

The pretty prince certainly out-pretties the pretty knight when he approaches the princess at last. "Lady Niniane, I hear you are parting from us? I hope it wasn't my company that makes you flee Wolveshire in a hurry now."

"It is by far not my own choice when I leave or do not leave your highness." Niniane says to Samwell in an exasperated voice as she continues to smile to him. Looking back over her shoulder to the wagons a moment she then turns her green eyes back to Samwell looking hopeful, "I was intending to stay since my lady has been locked up, but upon advice I find it more prudent at the moment to go…" She bites her lower lip lightly and gives Samwell an almost apologetic look.

Alek fades into that simple shadow that he is meant to be as the Royal Guard currently assigned to Niniane. Noting simply to Niniane,"It is good advise, Your Highness. "

Samwell looks a little surprised at her words. "Is that so, Mylady?", he asks curiously, "May I ask what happened?"

Giving Alek a smile Niniane nods her head, "Yes it is, I ought to at least see you safely home." She mutters to her protector before her gaze turns back to Samwell, "Apparently my brother was in the south, Stefan, and Lady Cassia knew. I am sorry for her actions if she did anything wrong, though she swears she is innocent of this knowledge." A fleeting bit of doubt touches her her voice as she worries the fabric of her gown.

The mutter from Niniane does cause a amused sort of smile to appear, however briefly, after all he was the one tasked to be concerned about safety. Falling silent as the royals converse, looking like the pretty accessory he is meant to be.

"I see.", Samwell replies and bows deeply. "I shall miss the pleasure of your company, Mylady, but I'll pray for safe travels for you. I know you are in good hands." He nods to Alek, then turns to leave.

"Thank you Prince Samwell." Niniane calls to the southerner's retreating back as she curtsies for the sake of proper behavior and manners. Shaking her head ever so slightly she adds, "Perhaps we shall see each other in Laketown sometime." She then turns slightly away to watch as some servants load a truck that looks rather heavy up onto the wagon.

A partial bow is offered to Samwell as the Prince makes to retreat. Alek turning a touch himself, speaking quietly,"I do not imagine your brother will be keen to see you travel again to soon once you have returned home, Your Highness. Especially if you return looking as if you did all the packing yourself, I think we would both be lectured. Worse, I fear what Katarina would do to me." The Knight speaking somewhat familiarly of the woman in the small jest.

Niniane looks over towards Alek and a small sigh passes the princess' lips, "A hostage in the south and to go home and be told to stay inside in the north." Her shoulders shrug as she looks to the wagon, "I guess we ought to depart though, no point in delaying Lady Cassia's release any longer, I need to speak to Stefan."

"If I may be so bold to suggest, perhaps Your Highness might request to spends time in Westmark to recover, I am certain Cricket would welcome the company. And I quite doubt she would try to keep you indoors endlessly." Alek nods,"It would likely be for the best to be on our way, I imagine Prince Jerric has such a wish to see and speak with you."

Niniane looks like she is taken this into consideration as her and Sir Alek's horses are brought forth, "Perhaps. I have so missed Lady Cori." She nods her head, "I will speak to Jerric once he and my father are done looking me over for southern abuse." She shakes her head and then asks Alek quickly, "Are you staying with me when we return north?" Her voice almost sounds hopeful, perhaps a touch use to the pretty knight's presence.

"Things have changed some since you were there last, she is recently taken up as Baroness with her parents becoming advisors. It is a situation that is still sorting itself out, I believe. But certainly something I can tell you about as we travel." Alek offering one of his smiles. A slight nod of his head comes to her question,"If it is your wish, Your Highness, for me to remain with you. Prince Jerric said I am to remain as one of your Knights for as long as you had use of me." Moving to offer a knee should the Princess wish it in getting upon her horse before taking to his so the party can make their start.

Nodding Niniane waits for Alek to mount his horse before she starts off in front of the wagons and they soon follow.
